Hot on the tail of The Lionesses’ historic success last night, our own Lion, the man behind our women’s section, Gabe, has landed himself a new job. I’m delighted to announce that as of today, Gabe is the new General Manager of Charlton Athletic Women’s Football Club.

Gabe has worked tirelessly in women’s football to bring the game to as many girls as possible and I’m sure you join myself and the MLFC board in congratulating him in his new role. CAWFC are very lucky!

For the sake of clarity, the above is Gabe’s new day time role. He is still very much an integral part of MLFC. He’s still coaching both our boys and our girls and will still be a huge voice in how we shape our girls football provision, which we hope will be even more successful with last night’s win in the hearts of all our 100 female players.

I wish you all a restful summer and look forward to welcoming you all back to Rowley Lane the first week of September.
